USA Votes 2016

USA Votes 2016 was Bournemouth University's coverage of the 2016 Presidential race.

Abi worked as the Radio Editor for the overnight coverage.

She worked in the months before the big night planning the schedule for the coverage, liaising with the TV and online teams with regards to content, forming a team of producers, presenters, news readers etc. Abi also organised live interviews for the night both here and in the US, helped make packages and trailers in the lead up to voting day, and made sure everyone knew what their job was for the night.

On the actual night she spent most of the time in the studio overseeing all the coverage, making sure no one had any problems, ensuring everything was on time and running smoothly, welcoming guests and interviewees, and making editorial decisions to scripts etc as states turned red or blue.

The radio was live at quarter past, and quarter to the hour, for 15 minutes at a time, between 11pm and 7am.
