ABI SIMPSON
ABOUT
Abi is currently the News Editor for the East of England at Bauer Media. She looks after the news team in the region, while keeping Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex up to date throughout breakfast. You can also sometimes hear her on the Greatest Hits and Hits Radio network across the UK.
Prior to joining Bauer, Abi oversaw a similar operation in the East for Celador Radio. She worked with the Group Head of News to provide local news and information on a number of stations across the East and also in Berkshire, Hampshire and Dorset. Abi was named Broadcast Journalist of the Year 2019 at the Celador Awards.
Abi started her professional career at Celador Radio in Hampshire in 2017 before relocating back to Norfolk, in 2019. Prior to that she spent three years studying Multimedia Journalism at Bournemouth University. As well as graduating with a First Class Honours degree, Abi was also awarded Dorset Student Young Journalist of the Year 2017 for a radio documentary she produced which looked at the dangers of meningitis in young people.
